A Send-Off She Never Saw Coming

She was a young woman getting ready to leave Canada for a new life in Europe. She thought she was coming into our studio to record a podcast. Instead, the people who love her were waiting, ready to share the stories, memories, and words they wanted her to carry with her.

Before You Begin

How can I record my grandparents' life stories?

Legacy Conversations is a professionally filmed family storytelling experience. We plan with you, create custom conversation prompts, and film an approximately 90-minute conversation at your home, their senior living residence, or our Whitby studio. You receive an edited keepsake film and family photos.

What is a meaningful keepsake gift for my parents or grandparents this Christmas?

A Legacy Conversations gift card gives them the chance to share their stories with the people they love, and gives your family a keepsake to treasure for generations. It's a meaningful gift for Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day, milestone birthdays, or any occasion.

Can we surprise someone with a Legacy Conversation?

Yes. Our very first Legacy Conversation was a surprise send-off for a young woman moving to Europe. We'll help you plan the details.

Can you record at a senior living or retirement home?

Yes. We coordinate with your family and the residence team, subject to the residence's approval, and work at a comfortable pace for everyone.

How much does a Legacy Conversation cost?

In Studio experiences are $1,500 CAD. Family & Friends Home Recording Sessions and Senior Living Home Recordings are $2,000 CAD. Each includes up to five participants, with an expanded option for six to ten participants for an additional $350.

What areas do you serve?

We're based in Whitby, Ontario, and serve families across Durham Region and the GTA. Travel fees may apply.
